The 2007 Belknap College reunion was held October 26-27, 2007. It was an enjoyable event for all that were able to attend. This photo is of Henry, Tom, Lee, Mike, and Jim. There are many more photos of the reunion and some of the scenic photos I took of the Center Harbor area on my personal website: http://www.henryscarfo.com/Henry/BelknapCollegeReunion/index.html

Now that I've got your attention, yes this is Henry, Class of '69. No, I'm not a NASCAR driver for the # 6 AAA Ford Fusion. That sure would be a nice success story to tell! Actually, I do work for the AAA National Headquarters where I've been employed for 32 years! I started my AAA career in New Hampshire, ran the AAA in Wyoming, moved to Virginia, and now Florida. AAA does sponsor a car and yes, my head is on the body of Mark Martin.

I'm married to Adrienne "Sam". After graduating Belknap, I worked in the Admissions office and traveled all over New England recruiting students. I may have recruited some of you! I met Sam in New York at a college night. She was an Admissions Counselor for New England College in Henniker. We'll be married 34 years in July 2007. This is a photo of us taken on a cruise last Christmas.

This is Sugar (left) and Sierra (right). Both are English Setters and are a great joy to us. Sugar is a Certified Therapy Dog and we take her to nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. She loves to "work" and really makes the seniors happy. Sierra is a "certified terror!" Actually she is a wonderful girl, very athletic and she keeps us on our toes all the time.

This is Sweet Pea and Sassy, two English Setter pups that we fostered at our home. Both are enjoying Henry's lap. Fortunately for our sanity we were able to find great homes for them in about 30 days. One is with a neighbor across the street so we see Sweet Pea frequently. Sassy is now in the Fort Myers, Florida area. We get frequent emails and photos from her new parents.

There are many more photos on my website. It's a place for family, friends and work associates to frequent from time to time. Feel free to visit and also send me an email with what you're doing these days. I'm going to try to make the Belknap reunion in October pending my AAA travel schedule. Perhaps we will get to meet again then!

I found some old photos from 1965 to 1969 that might bring back some memories - perhaps some we'd like to forget! I was very involved with the Fire Department and lived under the barn in the firehouse my junior and senior years. This one is from 1967 - I found a similar photo in the Northwind of that year. Back row from left is Bromberg, Scott Mayer, Henry Scarfo, Joe Ferrari, Paul Vizzini, Heaton, Russ Hobby and Reid Eddels. Front row from left is Smith, John Burkes, Earle Christman, Eddie Holmes, Len Schlude Kusnitz, Witherow, Sherry Molburg and George Wright. If you know the first names, let me know and I'll add their names. My apologies for any name mis-spellings.

I was the tallest, skinniest coxswain in New England. Four years of beer helped add much needed weight. This photo was taken in either 1965 or 1966 and it includes Dr. Royal Frye. My wife says if she knew me then, she'd never have married me! I'm on the right and to my left is Don Downs. I remember many a cold row on Lake Winnipesaukee in a very old shell that weighed a ton and leaked like a sieve!

This one is 1966 when I was Class President and Joe Ferrari was Vice President. Along with the Fire Department, we coordinated movies in the dining room of Dane House. The movies must have been bad because I didn't get re-elected.

Here's a vintage picture of Bill Hovey, Meteorology Professor

This is another very old photo in the fire house under the barn. Again, I'm missing a few names. From left to right front are: Len Schlude, Henry Scarfo, Russ Hobby, Greg Dietz (I think) and Charlie Wezwick. Back row on right is Russ Chuven aka "TR" because he looked a little like Teddy Roosevelt. I'm not sure of the fellow on the left, maybe Kurt Downs.

Hope you enjoyed these photos from the archives.

Regards,

Henry Class of 1969
