August 4, 2009 - John Bradigan died this morning at 6:58AM after a long illness. He was 57 years old. Noelle and I were with him at the end at Peace River Medical Center here in Port Charlotte. He was comfortable and departed quietly. I had music for him during the last hours and we were listening to Little Feat as he passed: “Tripe Face Boogie”.

Jim, After your email and our phone calls today I can only say remember the good times that we had with John. I was speaking with Mccomb and we start telling funny stories about John. One of the first ones that popped into my head was about John's apartment in Tarrytown. He lived there with Diana, or as he called her, Cheese Knees. She was Swiss. Always a party going on. One Saturday night we were all there raising hell. John was to leave the following morning on a business trip to the west coast. In the middle of all this partying he was trying to pack his clothes for the trip. Well each time he put some of his clothes in the suitcase, I would sneak them out and replace them with Diana's clothes. After a while he saw what I was doing and took them out, but he never knew that I switched all his underwear with her panties and bra's. The next morning he left. That night I got THE call. He found all her underwear and none of his. He wasn't too happy, but after a few minutes we were laughing about it. Jimmy, this is what John would want you to remember. Schwartz
Oh Bruce & Jim, I have to cry! What a great friend we lost. John, I saw you last in Los Angeles. You invited me to a wonderful concert with the Hungarian Philharmony. But as always.... we had to run, because you were late in picking me up at Trix's house. It was like in the good old days in NY. Every classical concert we went we were the last ones and out of breath!!We had 2 wonderful days in Newport Beach together. We laughed, drank wine out of the papercups at a sidewalk café, you bought me a nice perfume and at Macy's a makeup artist was doing a great job on my face and you were so proud and happy, when you saw the results :-) I will really cherish my whole life through, the heartfelt days I've spent with you. Love you. Diana (cheese Knees or Hermann... you remember Bruce, your brother always called me Hermann)

If you remember, you weren't there. Whenever I was with John, it was fun. Whether it was working or playing, there would be laughs. On the outside, we appeared as opposites. John, clean; neat; starched; organized; successful...and me...well not. However, in reality, he was just a better actor. There are so many memories with John, ones that can be shared and others kept personal, and all end with a smile. John will always be a part of me, and I miss him, and I know I'm not alone.
