Alan Parys – Al Parys, went to Belknap. He graduated in 1972. He passed away of esophageal cancer in 1987. I worked at The Fish Dish in Laconia and he and his buddies, Pat Voorheis, Vinnie Dreeland, Art Anderson, Doug Fredericks would come into town for a bite to eat. My friends and I formed friendships with these great guys. My friendship grew into a marriage, three beautiful children and sixteen wonderful yrs before cancer crept in. He lived at Rains House. We met with the Brendans at Baker House (I even had my picture taken with the Jug Band!!!! loved it) I have remarried. I can honestly say I had many many wonderful memories at Belknap… dorm parties, meals at Longwoods, sports events, concerts (Jonathan Edwards was awesome!!!), so I really want to play a small part in this wonderful reunion as Al loved this college very much, as I did… many good teachers, staff, friends and memories.
