Patricia A. Stens

Patricia A Stens, 80, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of William Edwin Stens of 56 years.

Patricia was born in Roslindale, MA, the daughter of the late John J. and Irene L. (Rauschenbach) Ryan. She was a graduate of Belknap College in NH. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Education. She loved working with kids and became a substitute teacher and while married in the Air Force she worked at the Recreational Centers on the military bases she lived at. When transferred to Guam with William, she worked at the military local animal shelter assisting families deployed with their quarantined animals where this began her love for dogs. Guam was her favorite base to live at. She met so many wonderful families and the bonds they shared together still remain today. Patricia loved sitting at the beaches there and laughing at people who parked underneath the Coconut trees (even when told not too) and people came back with dents in their cars!

Upon retiring from the Air Force life, she became the Outdoor Program Manager from The Girl Scouts of America. She enjoyed putting programs together for kids and summer programs!  She worked the Girl Scouts for 20 years where she retired and worked for AAA for10 years where she put together road trips for members and setting up memberships!

Patricia loved bowling, baking, reading, sewing and most of all she could talk your ear off! She was the true definition of a gabber! Her passion was also traveling! Patricia saw some wonderful places like Japan, Germany, Guam, Russia, Poland, Italy, UK, Canada, Caribbean, France, Austria and Switzerland. Pat and William also traveled extensively throughout the United States! Patricia’s greatest time spent was with her family and friends! She enjoyed every minute she had with her grandchildren!

In addition to her husband, William, she is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Deidre and Joseph Lussier of Woonsocket, RI, and Shannon and Justin Krivi of Leominster, MA; her three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lussier, Daniel Krivi, and Madison Krivi and several nieces. She is predeceased by her brother Kenneth Ryan and his wife, Caryl.
