OBITUARY

Mazoff, Alan Neil
58, passed away peacefully at home in Scottsdale on July 21, 2009, leaving behind his dear wife Lori and cherished sons Andrew and Darrin. He was born August 31, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, to Lillian and Albert Mazoff and graduated from Belknap College, Center Harbor, NH. Al had a successful career in media marketing and moved to Arizona to work in advertising sales with The Nogales International and later helped launch The Arizona Republic’s revolutionary TeleGuide service. Clients more often than not became friends, and he made many throughout the Southwest as a representative for a salon products company. He also established his own promotional products company but his most rewarding job was being “Mr. Bus Driver” for special needs students in the Scottsdale School District. In addition to his wife and sons, he is survived by his sister Cheryl Lahnstein, Melville, New York, several nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, followed by a reception for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Vincent de Paul.
